Below are the instructions for how to guide your students through this process.

  1. Students will be emailed a link to the degree audit or can access it by clicking on the "Degree Audit" button to the right to this page. Once the student logs in they will select their graduation month from the dropdown menu and click submit. This will begin the audit process.
  2. The advisor will receive an email once their advisee has submitted the form. Click on the link in the email and login using your UR credentials. You can also access the degree audit using the "Degree Audit Process" link to the right of this page. You will see a list of all audits awaiting your review under Pending Advisor. Click on the pencil icon next to the student you wish to review.
  3. During your advising session with the student, review the student's GradTracker and make notes on the audit of courses that still need to be completed for graduation. You will only be reviewing the degree and primary major requirements.
  4. If there are changes that need to be made to the student's GradTracker select the radio button: The GradTracker audit for this student requires adjustment. In the box below make note of all necessary changes. If there are no changes chose the GradTracker audit is accurate button.
  5. Check off the degree requirements as you review them with the student. List any remaining general education requirements, including Wellness courses.
  6. Click submit when done. An email will be sent to the appropriate Department Chair(s) and/or Assistant/Associate Dean(s) letting them know the audit is available for final review. Supplemental audits for any additional majors, minors, or concentrations will be sent at this time as well to the appropriate Chairs and/or Deans.
  7. Once all audits have received final approval from the appropriate Chairs and/or Deans, the student will receive notification that their audit is ready for their final acknowledgement. The student will need to login and submit their final acknowledgement in order for the audit to be considered complete.
  8. Final audit acknowledgements for May/August candidates must be submitted by November 15th and December candidates by April 15th.
  9. The Registrar’s Office will review each audit and notify students with deficiencies prior to the end of the add/drop period for the graduating semester. Questions should be directed to the Registrar’s Office.
